They actually haven't done that and they're stupid for trying.

The argument against drug abuse has nothing to do with morals. It's a matter of public safety. The drugs are not safe and neither are the people on those drugs. It doesn't take morality to oppose a public menace, just good common sense.

Gdoane, take your foot out of your mouth.

Both the study you posted and the study I posted were done by the same PI, Dr Tashkin. He made a career out of the cannabis cancer link and was attempting to place the final piece of the puzzle and failed.

That supports my contention that the people who study marijuana are the people who LIKE marijuana. Of course they're going to be the same people over and over again!

Marijuana should not be studied. There's been too much study. It's just time to condemn the Demon Weed for all eternity as well as all who partook of the Demon Weed. To HELL WITH THEM ALL. I hate them, I hate their misdeeds, I hate all they stand for and I don't want them studied, I want them prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and made to pay for their crimes.

That's an unfortunately ignorant contention. Dr. Tashkin doesn't like cannabis. He spent 30 years building ammo for your side of the argument. He was careful to say after his last findings that he still believes cannabis is potentially harmful.

He's a government researcher playing one side of the fence for money and the other side of the fence to support the drug he adores. He's a fraud ripping off the government for a lifetime of big grant money.

All researchers are frauds. They're taking taxpayer money from politicians with the promise that their science will support a political agenda. That's all government research has ever been about, it's a big fat stupid shell game, a fraud, a feasting on taxpayer dollars by charlatans and political hacks alike.

You tell yourself whatever you need to to save your pride.

You were perfectly willing to accept Dr. Tashkin's research, even posting it here yourself to support your argument, until you saw a conclusion you didn't like. Science isn't religion. Sometimes you get an answer you didn't expect or want.

I agree that much research is wasteful and does not deserve govt. support, but to say all researchers are frauds...

No, because none of them are addictive. Cripes, I can't even remember the last time I ate peanut butter, that's a kiddie food which grown men wouldn't be caught dead eating.
You do know that Marijuana is not addictive right?

Yes, it is. It is psychologically addictive.

Consider this: The people who use it know for a fact that if they get caught committing their vile and despicable crimes of buying, transporting, and using marijuana that they will have a rap sheet for the rest of their natural lives which does close a lot of doors, but they're addicted enough that they do it anyway. They're so addicted that the risk of ruining any background check they ever may have to pass in their lives is okay with them.

Nobody who has ever been convicted of possessing Marijuana could land my job. I work too closely with jails and law enforcement that if my background check ever came up with even the teensiest blemish on it I'd have to find a whole 'nother career. Nobody trusts people who have used dope and that's an instant fail on any background check anywhere. It shows the background of the person is bad, and closes doors.

you sir...have lost your marbles...

first and foremost to describe the act of purchasing and using marijuana as a "vile and despicable crime" is just nonsense. and furthermore it displays a huge ammount of ignorance and intollerance. quite frankly sir...that makes you a facist brown shirt wearing jerk.

secondly my "friend" you need to get a grasp on what actually makes something addictive. the coffe you drink each morning, the doughnuts you shove down your gullet, the cigaretts you inhale, and most of the otc/perscription medication are in fact quite addictive. they contain chemicals which your body becomes physicaly dependant upon and your body literaly goes through withdraws (of varying degree) when you attempt to adjust or halt thier intake. you body becomes addicted to them.

on the other hand cannibus does not contain any such chemicals or chemical compounds.

what you are so akwardly and ignorantly trying to explain here is a mental addiction....

mental addictions can manifest themselfs in just about anything in life. these types of adictions boarder on the OCD side of addiction. people can become mentaly dependant on anything in life including american idol, trim spa, and masturbation.

it is possible in this regaurd to become mentaly addicted to marijuana but the % is no greater than thoes who are addicted to any sort of normal mundane activity because again...marijuana contains no addictive chemicals.

also since when is civil disobediance such a vile and horrible thing?

i smoke marijuana, quite often. and i enjoy it. i'm not hurting anyone, i support my family, i work 40+ hrs a week, i pay my taxes...

if i want to unwind a few evenings a week with a little doobie then what business is it of yours to demonise me. how does my marijuana consumption hurt you?

it doesn't.

and anything you can say to rebuttal that will either be a lie or a stretch of the imagination.

on the off chance you retort with the o-so-witty ******** of "it supports organised crime", i'll just go ahead and shoot that one down with i grow my own.

there...now you've got nothing you close minded *****.

oh and BTW....i don't want your lame job...i like mine. they don't discriminate here against americans expressing thier rights of freedom and enjoyment. pee for enjoyment not for employment.

anyone who thinks a marijuana smoker isn't trustworthy must not be too fond of the fathers of our great nation. most of which grew and smoked marijuana.

if there were a way to limit the manufacture and sale of marijuana to industry then they'd be marketing it to our youth right now with flashing colors and new extreme flavors. but the fact remains that because i can grow it, the government can't tax it, so i can't buy it.

get a grip man. people like you make me sad. did you maybe get your butt kicked by a pot smoker growing up or something? was the local bully on your block a pothead....that may explain your inept and illogical justifications of hatred and discrimination twords a group of people that smoke a plant that once grew wild in this country.

think about that before you respond and make an even bigger ass out of yourself.
